Senior Human Resources Manager Africa
Our client in the mining sector is seeking a Senior HR Manager for their West Coast operations.
The successful applicant will have Post Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years HR experience, 3+ management capacity
To advise, lead and manage organisational initiatives to support and optimise the Human Resources function
Manage health, safety and environmental objectives within the Departments
Develop and manage HR policies and procedures
Manage the HR Departmental budget
Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships
Build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Optimise the implementation of the operational HR strategy and develop action plans for the Human Resources Department.
Workforce Planning
Advise line management on dealing with industrial relation and disciplinary issues and requirements as specified in various IR legislation
Interpret, apply and monitor collective agreements
Understand, advise and, where required, manage conflicts within the workplace and facilitate the resolution of employee grievances.
Provide feedback on all labour relations issues to the General Manager and inform the Corporate Human Capital Executive on any risks or issues
Support HR personnel with applying correct conditions of employment as per the Company policy and labour legislation
Expatriate Management, Recruitment and Selection for Expatriates and Senior Management Exit process
HR Information systems reporting
Change Management
Mentor individuals to enhance the individual’s knowledge, skills, values and attitudes
Collaborate with HR Manager in implementing Group Level and Site Level Initiatives
Implement all Social Labour Plans pertaining to the HR function as per Mining charter requirements and Labour legislation
Ensure adherence to Governance, Policy, LRA, BCEA, Mining Charter and relevant Codes of Good Practice
Compliance to HR IR statutory and legal requirements.
Key member of the country management team.
Understand the Mining charter and Social Labour Plans.
Preferably from a mining or engineering industry.
Current headcount 1000 FTE plus contractors / expats
Experience as an expat within Africa desirable.
